Detroit-Bid was established in December of 2021 and was fostered by the national COVID pandemic of 2020. During that time many of my neighbors, friends and family were not able to obtain various consumer products due to a multitude of reasons such as the international supply chain issue, lack of component and part productions, business shut downs and labor shortages. In turn, It is our objective to offer an alternative venue to purchase products online. We want to provide access to consumer goods throughout the Detroit area other than traditional "online retail" shopping venues. It was also our objective to offer new and slightly used name brand items with a substantial cost savings, especially during the ongoing elevated cost of goods and services within the retail marketplace. Detroit-Bid has contracted with national brokers that buy directly from major retailers such as Amazon, Costco, Target, Home Depot and others.  With our business relationships and business model we hope to offer value along with an alternative, exciting experience through Detroit-Bid online auctions.
